Why You Should Print Your Wedding Photos

Tips & Tricks

LET THEM BREATHE, AND ENJOY THEM IN REAL LIFE!

Listen, printing your wedding photos is easy to put off, but I can PROMISE you there are more reasons than the obvious to get these printed ASAP after your big day.

You’re likely spending a good amount of money on photography between your engagement photos and your wedding day. Make sure those stunning images don’t just live digitally on your phone or an external hard drive forever. Print ?? those ?? pics! ??

Why do we think that printing your photos is so important? Because it can actually strengthen your marriage. Seriously.

It is absolutely okay to admit that you’ve put off printing your wedding photos for the last 6 months OR you’ve ever thought about just ‘printing them later.’ No worries, I’ve been there too.

I got married almost 3 years ago and just last month I printed 50 of my favorite wedding photos to hang on the walls of our first home together. And I WISH I would have known these things and printed them sooner.

So here’s 3 not so obvious reasons to print your wedding photos, below! Let’s go!

The internet and social platforms aren’t forever.

I know we like to think that Instagram and Facebook are a great way to keep our special photos in a safe place, but let’s be real, there’s no guarantee that these last forever! What if your account gets hacked? Or, you aren’t able to login due to backend issues? It would be devastating to lose your special day photos in this way. There’s also something about physically touching and holding memories that are the beginning of your forever as a couple. It’s always so fun sharing your gorgeous photos on social platforms with your friends, but for keepsake purposes, making your house a home, and flipping through an album reminiscing together on your anniversary, it’s worth the short time it takes to print!

It will strengthen your marriage.

Looking at printed photos of you and your Hubby/Wifey together helps increase the reflection on happy memories. Seeing printed photos can actually help you and your spouse feel a stronger sense of deep connection and an increase in marital satisfaction! After an inevitable fight, you’ll catch a glance at one of your wedding photos, and remind yourself why you chose this person to be your teammate and life partner.

They make for special gifts & family heirlooms.

You have a beautiful love story to tell your family and future generations. An album or framed photos are great gifting ideas and smart ways to preserve your precious memories! Imagine your children, or your children’s children seeing your wedding dress for the first time and

hearing the stories about your first dance together. All possible, with printed photos.

A great way to thank your photographer.

Last, but certainly not least, if you’re thinking about a way to tell your photographer he or she did an outstanding job, you need to print your photos. This is not only a huge compliment to them, but reassures that they did the job you were expecting and the photos are worth investing in.

PRO TIP: Most photographers have their own online print shops, that I’m sure would offer discount codes to promote their services. Don’t be afraid to ask!

Allow your wedding day photographs to stand the test of time. Make the memories you made together on your big day become tangible, allowing for the opportunity to tell their story and become sentimental gifts or family heirlooms that last for generations.

If you’re one of my brides and want to print your wedding photos, you can order them directly from your online gallery, and have them shipped right to your door.
