Brennan & Henry

Engagement

Brennan & Henry found me through Instagram and booked an engagement session via my website. The weather was tolerable at Fred Fletcher Park that day. Not gonna lie it was one of those HOT North Carolina summer days. I was sweating like crazy, but only because I wanted to get all the right angles of them so I was basically running around or holding a squat during the entire photoshoot. That way they wouldn’t have to move much and could stay dry!

We talked about how early Henry gets up for work sometimes! He gets up at 3:30 or 4 or in the morning to be at work on time, so we were joking about how impossible that would be for me. Props to him for having such good self-discipline; I’m still snoozing in my bed at that time!

Okay, this was actually crazy… There was a CAT that randomly appeared in the middle of the photoshoot. Literally a cat with a cute pink collar. We were so confused and he literally posed for the pictures. I have to say this is the first time I’ve ever had to photoshop a cat out of someone’s engagement pictures, but it honestly was hilarious. Of course, I had to take a picture of them with the cat, and that’s one of my favorites!

Honestly, having a cat pop-up mid-session was pretty amazing. It helped cut any residual nervousness. We all laughed and then Brennan and Henry seemed super comfortable and excited to try some of my fun poses/prompts.

The session ended with a champagne bottle popping ceremony and toast, of course! I’ll never forget how excited Brennan and Henry were to pop open that bottle of champagne. They were like bouncing up and down as I walked towards them with the bottle and it really shows in the pictures. It was contagious!
